All Board of Zoning Appeals Hearings are at the Township Hall located at 5972 E. Port Clinton Eastern Road, Marblehead, Ohio 43440 and start at 6:30 p.m. on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, unless otherwise noted in the notice. 


The Danbury Township Board of Zoning Appeals will hold adjudication hearings at the Danbury Township Hall, 5972 E. Port Clinton Eastern Road, Marblehead, Ohio 43440 on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 beginning at 6:30 p.m. on the following applications:

      BZA-2017-171      351 Laurel. Request for an Area Variance to Section 3.1.5.D to allow for new additions onto the existing home to be 3.67’ from the western front property line (5’ required) and 2.97’ from the northern side property line (3’ required). Also a request from Section to allow more than 75% of the reproduction value of the nonconforming home structure to be rebuilt and replaced. Traci Richards, Owner/ Lynn App, Architect, Agent.

     BZA-2017-172    1017 N. Buck Road. Request for an Area Variance to Section 3.1.10.D to allow for a new commercial structure to be located 63’ from the front property line (70’ required). Buck 1017, LLC, Matthew Stibora, Owner/Applicant.

     BZA-2017-176     7581 E. Harbor Road, Big Bopper’s. Request for Area Variances from Section 3.1.8.D to allow for an addition at the rear of the existing restaurant to encroach into the front-yard setback (21’ proposed/70’ required) and the side-yard setback (3’ proposed/10’ required), Section 7.9.3. to allow for the addition onto a nonconforming structure to exceed the 20% addition limitation (36% proposed) and Section to have fewer parking spaces than required (20 proposed/36 required). Parties wishing to give testimony may appear in person or by attorney. Said hearing may be continued from time to time as necessary.
