Lakeside is a place where the mission remains the same today as it was more than a hundred years ago. A place to foster traditional Christian values, to strengthen the quality of family life, and to nurture fellowship by providing programs and services that offer opportunities for enrichment and growth...spiritual, intellectual, cultural, and physical...in a restful setting, while preserving the timeless quality of Lakeside's heritage.

The waterfront with its pavilion and open verandas, 700 foot dock, sail boats and children's pool remains a center of activity, as it has been throughout several generations. Opportunities to meet new people at Lakeside surround you when you are on the grounds; it is just a friendly sort of place for people of all ages.

There is everything from handmade crafts, a consignment shop, an antiques store, men's and women's clothing store, several gifts shops and a bookstore and so much more in the downtown business district of Lakeside.

Also, in downtown Lakeside, you may reprise the year's most popular family oriented motion pictures at Orchestra Hall Theater. The Lakeside Summer Symphony is in residence during the month of August each year and performs eight delightful concerts with many nationally known artists as guest soloists. The orchestra is made up of professional musicians from all over the United States. The Lakeside Symphony is one of the finest summer orchestras in the country.

During the season numerous seminars and lecture series are offered to the visitors, most of them without charge. Some of the finest theologians in the country speak during the Sunday Worship Service and daily Chaplain's Hour each week of the summer.

Simply strolling along Lake Erie within the Lakeside grounds at any time of the day brings a sense of quiet and "belonging" seldom found elsewhere in today's busy world!
