Danbury Township is governed by a non-partisan board of three Trustees and one Fiscal Officer, all of whom are elected for a four-year term. The board meets in public session on the second and fourth Wednesday each month at 7:00 p.m. on the first floor of Township Hall. Their areas of responsibility include roads, parks, cemeteries, fire and police departments, zoning, fiscal management, budgets and maintenance of public records.

Rhonda Botti
Rhonda was appointed to the position of Township Fiscal Officer in 1995. She has since been re-elected to 3 subsequent terms. A graduate of Danbury High School, she is a member of the Ottawa County Township Association and also serves as a volunteer mentor with the HOSTS reading program at Danbury Elementary School.

In addition to her elected office, Rhonda also serves as Zoning Inspector for the Township, a position she was appointed to by the Board of Trustees in 1998.

Rhonda was responsible for converting the Township's accounting to UAN computerized system in 1997. This system provides more detailed tracking of receipts and expenditures that has greatly helped the Board of Trustees in planning for future improvements and services.

John Englebeck
John began his service as Township Trustee in 1998. John is a lifelong resident of Danbury Township, a graduate of Danbury High School and a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church. He has been employed with Luckey Farmers since 1985. John's family farmed the Township since the early 1900's and he is the fourth generation. He is a 30-year member of the Marblehead Fire Department and is currently serving as Captain and Chief Engineer. He is the township representative to the Regional Planning Commission. His community involvement includes the Lion's Club, the human resources committee of Otterbein North Shore Retirement Community and the Ottawa County Democratic Club. John and his wife Patricia have two sons, John Jr. and James. Patricia was employed by Riverview Senior Health Care Campus for thirteen years. John's goals are to operate the Township as efficiently as possible for the benefit of everyone and to always be available to address the concerns of residents.

Dave Hirt
Dave was elected to the position of township trustee and began serving in 1994. He is a lifelong resident of the township and a graduate of Danbury High School class of '66. Dave has worked at Bill's Implement Sales since 1975 as a parts and equipment salesman of lawn and garden equipment. He has been active in the township serving as an officer for the Ottawa County Township Association, the Danbury Waste Water Advisory Committee and the Ottawa County District Health Advisory Committee. He also remains active in the community by chartering and leading the Danbury Ski Club for 12 years, being an officer in the Experimental Aviation Association Chapter 1247 for 7 years, being involved at St. Paul on council, in choir, and on Sunday school staff, and volunteering at the High School popcorn stand. He is a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam war serving on an ammunition ship there and also aboard a nuclear submarine based from Hawaii with 6 years active service from 1969 to 1975. Dave and his wife Jan are the parents of three girls Loree, Karyn and Abbey.

Dave's goals are to continue to improve the quality of life in Danbury Township through controlled development and growth. He is also a strong supporter for land preservation and of our parks. Preservation is a way for our public officials to give back to the taxpayers for the benefit of all future generations

Dianne Rozak
Dianne began her tenure as Township Trustee in January 1996. Her background includes an Associate Degree in Management from John Carroll University in Cleveland. She was a Director of Human Resources and Training for a nationwide specialty retailer in Cleveland. In addition, she has held various marketing positions in the specialty food industry, owned a catering business and has been very involved in community activities. She has served in the capacity of President for the Wide World Shop Board of Directors, The Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, Ottawa County Regional Planning Commission and Ottawa County Township Association. She is a past member of the board of Otterbein North Shore Retirement Community. Currently, Dianne is a board member of the Ottawa County Visitors Bureau and the Area Heritage Foundation. Dianne produces the Township newsletter, writes "Focus on Danbury Township" newspaper articles, maintains the website and provides annual radio addresses to update residents on Township business. She and her husband, Dan Thompson, are members of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Dianne is the Naturalist at the Marblehead Lighthouse State Park and her goals for the Township include continued citizen involvement, controlled development and public awareness of Township business.
